Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Salentra holds, why, who can see it, and how to reach us about it.Salentra is provided by Mulk Techora Innovations. For the business data a Customer enters about its own staff and shoppers, the Customer decides what is collected; we process it on the Customer's behalf to run the service.
What we hold
- Account and contact information — names, email addresses and roles of the people who use a business account, and the business's own contact details.
- Staff information entered by a business — which locations each person works at, their role, and whether their account is active.
- Sales and customer records — sales, receipts, returns and refunds, and any customer records a business chooses to keep (for example name, email, phone and purchase history).
- Inventory and business records — products, prices, stock, suppliers, purchase orders and settings.
- Messages — messages and instructions staff send each other in the app, and who has read or acknowledged them.
- Reports — reports and exports are generated from the records above when someone asks for them.
- Security and audit logs — sign-ins, significant changes and exports, with the time and the account involved; technical request logs used to diagnose faults.
- Self-checkout receipt contact — if a shopper asks for a digital receipt at a self-checkout lane, the contact they give is used for that receipt only and cleared when the session ends.
Salentra does not accept file uploads and does not process or store payment-card numbers or bank credentials. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes; we cannot read them.
Why we use it
- To provide the service: record sales and stock, produce receipts and reports, and let staff work together.
- To keep accounts secure: authenticate users, enforce roles, detect misuse and investigate incidents.
- To support Customers and to invoice them for the service.
- To send service emails that a user or their business asked for — invitations and password resets. We do not send marketing email through the product.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use Customer data for advertising.
Who can see it
- Inside a business: access follows the roles the business assigns. Staff tied to particular locations see only those locations.
- Between businesses: each business's data is kept separate; one business cannot see another's records.
- At MTechora: only people who operate or support the service, and only where needed to do so.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run Salentra, each only for this purpose:
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Neon — the database, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-2).
- Resend — delivery of service emails (invitations and password resets).
Because these providers operate in the United States, information may be stored and processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep a business's data while its account is active. When an account ends, the owner may request an export; on the owner's written request we delete the business's data from the live service, except records we are required by law to keep. Deleted data also ages out of our database backups according to the backup retention window. Audit logs are kept with the business's data for security and accountability.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access is controlled by signed sessions, per-role permissions and separation between businesses; sign-in, invitation and reset attempts are rate-limited; single-use links expire. We review and test these controls, but no system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim any formal certification. We will notify affected Customers of a breach involving their data as the law requires.
Your requests
Staff and shoppers whose information a business keeps in Salentra should usually contact that business first, since it controls the records; we will help the business respond. To ask us about your own account information, to request access or correction, or to raise a privacy concern, email info@mtechora.com.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest version above.
